Mobile World Congress

Está a decorrer em Barcelona, de 15 a 18 o Mobile World Congress. Salientaram-se dois tópicos 2D codes e mobile media metrics, este último elaborado no Reino Unido em Fevereiro de 2010.
Hoje tb decorreram The International Mobile Gaming Awards Ceremony da responsabilidade de Maarten Noyons. Foram sete os prémios atribuídos:

-Best Real World Game: "Ulrique and Eamon", Blast Theory, UK. This game lasts for 30 minutes. Players choose to play as either Ulrique Meinholf or Eamon Collins. The phone is their guide as they walk around the city, receiving voice calls which give them the task that they need to achieve.

-Excellence in Gameplay: "Minisquadron", Tak Fung, UK. It is an old-school shoot-in-up for the iPhone and iPod Touch.

-Excellence in Connectivity: "Sniker vs Sniper: on line", Comu2uS, USA. 5 different game modes, 30 special missions, and 6 high quality maps.

-Excellence in Design: "Ancient Frog Jr", James Brown, New Zeland. It is a puzzle experience game.

-Best casual game: "Wire Way", Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH, Germany. It is an action-puzzle adventure in which users have to explore the world of Wiley, the Alien. It offers 32 breath-taking sytages in mission mode as well as 2 additional game modes providing variety and even more fun for users.

-People 's Choice Award: "Bruce Lee Dragon Warrior", Digital Legends Entertainment, Spain & India Games, India.

-Operators' Choice Award: "Krazy Kart Racing", Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH, Germany. It is the most extensive kart racing game on smartphones and is also the only kart racer to offer realtime multiplayer cross-platform gaming. Supported platforms: iPhone, iPod Touch, Windows Mobile, Android, Nokia Ovi and PC.

E ainda o Grand Prix: "Labyrinth 2", Illusion Labs, Sweden.
